About The Project

We recently completed a residential pipe relining project for a client in Artarmon, NSW. The project involved using our advanced pipe relining solutions to repair a cracked and collapsed stormwater pipe.

The Objective

Our client required a cost-effective and durable solution to address a section of their stormwater pipe that had cracked and collapsed. Our Approach

Robotic Cutting
To tackle this project, we used our cutting-edge robotic pipe cutter to grind down the collapsed section of the clay stormwater pipe. This step was crucial for removing the damaged parts and preparing the pipe for the relining process.
Pipe Preparation
We then focused on preparing the interior surfaces of the pipe. This involved thorough cleaning and robotic cutting to enlarge the clay pipe to allow an opening of 100mm to the correct size for a free flowing stormwater pipe. Proper preparation was essential to ensure optimal adhesion of the epoxy-coated liner.
Liner Insertion
An epoxy-coated flexible liner was then inserted into the damaged section of the pipe. This liner was carefully positioned to cover the entire affected area, ensuring that the pipe's structural integrity would be restored.
Inflation and Curing
Using compressed air, the liner was inflated to achieve full contact with the interior walls of the existing pipe. Once in place, the epoxy resin-coated liner was cured by ambient air. This process created a seamless and robust repair that would last for many years.
Final Inspection
Finally, we conducted a thorough inspection of the relined pipe to confirm the successful installation. We checked for correct placement and ensured all fittings were properly reconnected, providing the client with a fully functional and durable stormwater system.
