Ready Set Reline

Pipe Relining for a Mosman Property in NSW

About The Project

In just two days, we delivered a lasting solution for a Mosman property’s complex pipe issues, improving durability and efficiency across the entire system.

The Objective

Our client came to us with a clear objective: A comprehensive reline with multiple different liners adding up to 48 meters of compromised piping, including the reinstatement of multiple junctions and installing 3 way satellite junction repairs. They wanted a solution that would be minimally invasive, highly durable, and completed within a tight timeframe. With the latest relining technology, we aimed to enhance the infrastructure’s resilience and prevent recurring issues, ensuring the property’s plumbing could handle future demands without disruptions.

Our Approach

Clearing the Line with High-Pressure Water Jetter

We began by using a high-pressure water jetter to thoroughly clean the line, removing any debris or buildup that could interfere with the relining process. This initial step ensured a clean, open pathway for the liner installation.

Preparing the Pipes for Optimal Adhesion

Using a Picote machine, we etched the pipe surfaces to improve the adhesion of the new liner. This sanding process is crucial for creating a secure bond with the resin, ensuring the new liner would remain durable over time.

Inspecting with CCTV Sewer Camera

To accurately assess the condition and alignment of the pipes, we inserted a CCTV sewer camera. This inspection allowed us to confirm the extent of the damage, mark specific areas for reinstatement, and ensure our approach would address all structural weaknesses.

Installing the Superior Liner with Epoxy Resin

We installed a top-grade liner using a specialised two-part epoxy resin that meets Australian Relining Codes & Standards. This resin not only seals existing faults but also provides a corrosion-resistant layer, effectively prolonging the life of the pipes.

Reinstating Critical Junctions with Precision Cutting

After the liner had cured, we identified and reinstated five key junctions by precisely cutting around marked lines, using our robotic cutter. This method ensured the accuracy and alignment of each junction, preserving the integrity of the new liner.

Final CCTV Inspection and Clean-Up

Once the line was fully cured, we reinserted the CCTV camera for a final inspection, confirming the quality of the installation. The site was then cleaned and restored to its original state, leaving no trace of our work except for a newly reliable pipe system.

The Solution

Trained and Qualified Team

Our skilled team brought the expertise required for a successful project. Each team member was trained to handle the latest relining technology, ensuring all processes were performed to the highest standard.

Advanced Equipment and Relining Technology

Using state-of-the-art equipment allowed us to perform minimally invasive work. The technology and materials used provided a seamless, corrosion-resistant lining, extending the lifespan of the infrastructure and reducing the need for future interventions.

Complimentary Annual CCTV Inspections

To give our client peace of mind and maintain the system’s integrity, we included annual CCTV inspections in our solution package. These inspections allow the client to monitor the infrastructure's condition, with each inspection documented to provide a historical record for future reference and proactive planning.
