This project was a comprehensive relining and repair job for a domestic client in Lane Cove. The work included relining the main bathroom and beneath the house, installation of a stormwater grate and drain, and repair of a 3-way junction. The project was carried out with the use of specialised equipment and techniques to ensure the best results within a short period of time.
The client had been experiencing issues with their sewer line constantly blocking up due to tree roots infiltrating the line under the house. This was causing blockages in the toilet line and one of the main junctions, resulting in sewer surcharging back onto the property. Additionally, there were issues with stormwater pooling against and under the house. The main bathroom also had blockages and the downstream junction needed repair. It was time for the client to put and end to these issues once and for all.
The client chose Ready Set Reline because of our experience in both plumbing and pipe relining, knowing that we would be able to resolve their multiple plumbing issues in one service.
To address the blockages, we cleared the blocked sewer line using high-pressure jetting equipment, robotic cutting and a chain picote machine.
We used CCTV cameras to inspect the pipes to ensure they were fully clean and cleared, and started preparing the liner. We relined the pipe using epoxy resin and a woven liner, and a fibreglass satellite repair of the junctions. Additionally, we used satellite junction pipe patch repair to ensure that tree roots would not creep back into the junctions and cause issues in the future. For added prevention against root infiltration in the future, we also installed a new grated drain and PVC pipes. This would also prevent water pooling against or under the house.
We completed the reline with a final CCTV camera inspection to ensure the liner had fully adhered to the faulty pipes.
On completion of the job, we were proud of the great communication we had with our client, who had many questions about the process. We were also proud of the teamwork and efficiency of our team, who made sure the work was done smoothly.
